How Much Should Paintless Dent Removal Cost?

Paintless dent removal in Dubai costs AED 250 to AED 600 for most single dents. A small door ding under 3cm starts at AED 250. A medium dent between 3cm and 8cm on a flat panel runs AED 350 to AED 500. A large or complex dent requiring panel disassembly or located on a body line costs AED 500 to AED 900. These are current market rates at Al Quoz body shops as of 2026.

Quotes that come in significantly lower than AED 250 for a real dent usually involve skipping the quality check, using cheap tools that leave small low spots, or quoting a door ding that turns out to be quoted per session rather than per dent. Quotes significantly above AED 900 for a single dent are rare for PDR and may indicate misdiagnosis as a more complex repair.

What Drives PDR Pricing Up?

Six factors determine where in the price range your repair lands.

Dent size is the most direct factor. A 2cm door ding requires 30 to 60 minutes of work. A 10cm dent from a reversing impact requires 2 to 4 hours. The time difference drives most of the price difference.

Dent depth and profile matter as much as size. A shallow rounded dent pops out cleanly. A deep dent with a tight crease requires more careful incremental work because the metal needs to be moved slowly to avoid tearing the paint from the inside. Deep dents on the same panel as a shallow dent cost proportionally more.

Location on the panel affects access. A dent in the middle of a door is the easiest access: remove the interior panel, insert the tool, and work. A dent near the door edge, near a window channel, or on a fender close to the structural apron requires working around obstructions that limit tool angles and movement.

Panel material affects technique. Steel panels are the standard. Aluminium panels, used on many Land Rover, BMW, and Audi models, require more careful pressure control because aluminium work-hardens faster. The result is similar but aluminium adds 15 to 20% to the time and therefore the cost.

Access difficulty adds to the quote. Some dents require removing a tail-light cluster, interior trim, or an inner wheel arch liner before the technician can reach the back of the panel. This disassembly adds AED 100 to AED 200 to the job depending on what needs to come off.

Multiple dents on the same panel are discounted. If a panel has four door dings rather than one, the setup time is shared. A single ding at AED 250 becomes AED 150 to AED 200 per ding when there are four on the same panel.

PDR Pricing by Dent Size: Quick Reference

Small dent under 3cm (door ding, trolley contact): AED 250 to AED 350. This covers the vast majority of car park dents in Dubai. Single impact, no crease, paint intact, accessible location.

Medium dent 3cm to 8cm (minor reversing bump, low-speed parking contact): AED 350 to AED 500. Larger surface area to cover, usually requires more passes to restore flatness.

Large dent 8cm to 15cm (moderate impact, bonnet dent from a falling object): AED 500 to AED 700. May require partial disassembly for access. Result is factory-level on flat panels; body lines add complexity.

Complex dent (body line crease, near panel edge, aluminium, multiple dents on one panel): AED 600 to AED 900. Includes time for careful incremental work and quality checking under the LED board.

Hail damage (multiple small impacts across a panel or full vehicle): quoted per panel. A full bonnet with 15 to 25 hail impacts runs AED 800 to AED 1,500 depending on impact density and depth. Full car hail repair: AED 3,000 to AED 6,000 depending on severity. See our hail damage repair guide for full pricing on multi-panel hail jobs.

How Does PDR Cost Compare to Traditional Panel Repair?

For a qualifying dent with intact paint, PDR costs 40-60% less than a conventional panel respray. A medium dent that costs AED 400 via PDR costs AED 600 to AED 800 via filler and repaint, not counting the 2 to 3 day wait for paint cure.

The cost difference grows on premium vehicles with complex paint systems. A single panel respray on a BMW, Mercedes, or Porsche in a metallic or multi-coat colour runs AED 800 to AED 1,500 because of paint complexity, blending requirements, and cure time. PDR on the same panel costs AED 350 to AED 700 regardless of paint finish, since the paint is never touched.

The value comparison is clear for lease returns. Most UAE leasing companies charge AED 500 to AED 1,500 per dented panel at return, assessed at their own repair cost. A PDR repair at AED 250 to AED 600 before the return inspection avoids that charge entirely.

The one case where the cost comparison reverses: if the dent is too deep or creased for PDR alone, requiring filler work after the metalwork, the total cost may approach or exceed a straight panel respray. This is not a failure of PDR as a technique. It is a scope issue, and a qualified technician will tell you upfront which method applies to your damage. See our PDR service page for what we include in a standard quote.

How to Get an Accurate PDR Quote in Dubai?

The fastest way to get a fixed price is to send photos on WhatsApp before visiting. Take one photo showing the full panel in context, and two to three close-up photos at a low angle so the dent profile is visible in the reflection of the sky or a light source. A low-angle shot shows the depth and crease profile better than any straight-on photo.

Include your car model in the message. Aluminium-bodied vehicles and panels with unusual geometry behind them (some Range Rover doors have significant internal reinforcement that limits tool angles) affect the quote.

At DentGuy in Al Quoz Industrial Area 3, quotes are fixed and written before any work starts. The price you see on WhatsApp is the price at collection. If the actual damage on inspection is different from the photos (deeper, larger, or on a body line that was not visible), we tell you before starting.

For cars in Sharjah or the northern emirates, we also cover mobile PDR for jobs over AED 500 where transport to Al Quoz is inconvenient. A mobile visit adds a call-out fee of AED 100 to AED 150 depending on location.
