Dent Repair Cost Guide Dubai: What Every Dent Type Costs in 2026

DentGuy Technical Team7 min read

Car dent repair in Dubai costs between AED 100 and AED 5,000 depending on the dent type, the repair method, and the vehicle involved. The range is wide because the same-size dent on a flat door panel costs very differently from the same dent on a curved quarter panel or on an aluminium bonnet.

This guide gives you concrete pricing for every common dent category in Dubai, explains when paintless dent removal (PDR) applies versus when traditional body repair is the correct method, and shows you the factors that move your price up or down.

Minor Dent Repair Cost: What Is a Small Dent Worth Fixing?

Minor dents are typically under 2 cm in diameter with no paint damage. These are the classic car park door dings: shallow, round, and caught early before the UV conditions in Dubai cause paint stress at the impact point.

PDR for a minor dent: AED 100 to AED 300. The lower end applies to very small dings under 1 cm on flat panels like door skins with clean rear access. The upper end covers minor dents that sit near body lines or require glue-pull technique.

Traditional repair for a minor dent (filler and panel respray): AED 400 to AED 600. This includes sanding, priming, basecoat, clearcoat, and blending into adjacent panels. Traditional repair is almost never the right choice for a minor dent unless the paint is already broken.

For minor dents, PDR is the correct method in almost every case. See our paintless dent removal Dubai service page for how the process works.

Car Door Dent Repair Cost in Dubai

Door dents are the most common repair at our Al Quoz workshop. Every car in Dubai is at risk from multi-storey car parks, shopping mall underground levels, and street parking on narrow roads near Bur Dubai and Deira.

Small door dent (1 to 3 cm, no paint damage): AED 250 to AED 400 by PDR. Same-day repair in most cases.

Medium door dent (3 to 5 cm, no paint damage): AED 400 to AED 600 by PDR. Possible same-day or next day depending on access.

Large door dent (5 to 8 cm, shallow, no crease): AED 550 to AED 800 by PDR. Takes longer but still no paint involved.

Door dent with paint damage (any size): AED 500 to AED 900 including PDR for the dent shape and spot painting for the damaged paint. Or a full panel respray at AED 400 to AED 600 for the panel only, depending on scope.

Large Body Dent Repair Cost

Large dents, those over 8 cm in diameter or involving multiple panels, sit in a different pricing tier. The key variable is whether the metal is creased.

Large shallow dent (8 to 15 cm, no crease): AED 700 to AED 1,200 by PDR. These occur on roofs from falling objects, on bonnets from hail, and on boot lids from minor rear impacts. PDR is viable when the metal profile has been pushed inward without a hard fold.

Large dent with crease: AED 800 to AED 1,500 by traditional repair (filler, prime, paint, blend). PDR cannot fully correct a creased dent because the work-hardened fold line resists reshaping. Traditional repair is the right method here.

Collision damage affecting multiple panels: assessed individually. A parking impact on a Toyota Land Cruiser or Range Rover that dents the front bumper, fender, and door requires separate assessment per panel. The total typically runs AED 1,500 to AED 4,000 depending on the extent and whether PDR covers all panels or some need traditional repair.

PDR Dent Repair Prices vs Traditional Body Repair

The cost difference between PDR and traditional dent repair is consistent: PDR costs 40 to 60% less for the same dent when both methods are applicable.

Small door ding comparison: PDR AED 250 to AED 350 vs traditional AED 450 to AED 650. PDR saves AED 200 to AED 300 and returns the car the same day instead of 2 to 3 days later.

Medium panel dent comparison: PDR AED 400 to AED 600 vs traditional AED 600 to AED 900. PDR saves AED 200 to AED 300.

Hail damage across roof, bonnet, and boot (30 dents): PDR AED 1,500 to AED 2,500 vs traditional (repainting 3 panels) AED 3,000 to AED 6,000. PDR saves AED 1,500 to AED 3,500.

The cost advantage of PDR compounds with the paint preservation benefit. After PDR, every panel reads factory-original on a paint depth gauge. After traditional repair, repainted panels read noticeably thicker. This matters for lease returns and private resale inspections in Dubai, where RTA vehicle condition standards and lease company inspection checklists are well established.

For the full comparison of both methods, see our PDR vs traditional dent repair guide.

Factors That Change Your Dent Repair Price

Several factors consistently shift price up or down, regardless of dent size.

Panel material. Steel is standard and baseline priced. Aluminium panels, used on Range Rover Sport, BMW 3 and 5 Series, Tesla Model 3 and Y, and Jaguar F-Pace, cost 20 to 30% more to repair by PDR because aluminium requires different tooling and more gradual pressure technique.

Access. A door dent with direct access through the existing service hole in the door frame is quickest. A roof dent near the windscreen, a rear quarter panel dent requiring interior trim removal, or a pillar dent all require disassembly time before repair work can start. Expect AED 100 to AED 200 added for any repair requiring more than standard access.

Dent location on the panel. A dent in the flat centre of a door is the easiest repair. A dent near a body line, near the panel edge, or on a compound curve near a wheel arch is harder because the metal has less freedom to move without creating tension in adjacent areas.

Paint condition. PDR is only applicable when the factory paint is intact. If the clearcoat or colour coat is cracked at the dent point, the panel needs repainting regardless of whether PDR corrects the shape. Dents with paint damage are assessed individually.

Dent Repair Cost for Common Dubai Vehicles

Toyota Land Cruiser and Prado: steel body, large flat panels, excellent PDR accessibility. Door dents AED 300 to AED 550 by PDR. The size of the vehicle means slightly larger panel areas but no material premium.

BMW 3 and 5 Series: aluminium doors and bonnet on most current models. PDR is viable but costs 20 to 30% more than equivalent steel panel work. A door dent runs AED 350 to AED 650.

Mercedes C-Class, E-Class, GLE: steel body on most panels, aluminium bonnet on some models. Standard PDR pricing applies to steel panels. Check with the workshop before assuming your specific model variant.

Range Rover Sport and Vogue: fully aluminium body. PDR is viable and the correct method, but every repair carries the 20 to 30% aluminium premium. A door dent runs AED 400 to AED 700.

Nissan Patrol: large steel body, good PDR access. Similar pricing to Land Cruiser. A door dent runs AED 300 to AED 550.

Getting an Accurate Dent Repair Quote

Send WhatsApp photos before visiting. A clear photo showing the dent size (include a coin for scale), one from the side to show depth, and one showing whether the paint surface is intact gives enough information to price most single dents accurately without an in-person assessment.

For multiple dents or complex damage, an on-site assessment at our Al Quoz workshop is more efficient. We assess, explain the repair approach for each dent, and give a written price before starting. No surprise charges at pickup.

For insurance claims, PDR repairs on door dings and minor dents are covered under comprehensive policies without an RTA accident report. We provide full documentation including before-and-after photographs and a signed repair certificate. For dents from collisions with another vehicle, an RTA report is required before any insurer will process the claim. See our car dent repair insurance Dubai guide for the full claims process.

For Dubai Police traffic accident reports, contact the traffic department directly if your dent resulted from a collision requiring documentation.
